Gail Luhn, Owner/Member
Luhn Law PLLC was established in 2010 as a boutique law firm to offer personalized legal services to businesses and individuals with employment law needs.
Its founder, Gail Luhn, is a native of Washington State. Gail worked for the American Red Cross following her graduation from The Evergreen State College in 1982. In 1986, she accepted a position with the American National Red Cross in Burlingame, California. While there, she began graduate study in Human Resources and Organizational Development at the University of San Francisco. Her interest in employer-employee relations led to her decision to attend law school, and she graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in May, 1993 and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in October.
Gail practiced in the Bluegrass State for four years before returning to Washington in 1997 where she joined the Seattle firm of LeGros, Buchanan & Paul in 1997. At LBP she expanded her practice to include maritime employment, including drafting crew contracts, employment policies, and conducting HR audits. Gail became a partner in 2001. She has litigated cases in both state and federal courts, the National Labor Relations Board, and various appellate courts.
Gail spent most of 2004 helping to refit an 80′ steel-hull yacht, M/V INFINITY, which is now her home and never-ending project.
Gail is currently admitted to practice in the State of Washington (1997), before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. To supplement and strengthen her employment law practice, Gail studied for and obtained certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
Gail concentrates her practice in the areas of employment and labor law. To view representative services she provides, visit her Services page.
